Narita - Kamakura - Odawara - Atami

After breakfast we arn going to drive along the Tokyo Bay Aqua Line and visit the Umihotaru - an amazing construction which open to the public since late 1997. The Tokyo Bay Aqua Line connected Kawasaki and Kisarazu by 9.5km of tunnel and 4.4km of bridge, with a man-made island - Umihotaru, a floating parking lot - in between. Umihotaru offers a 360-degree panoramic views of Yokohama Bay Bridge, Tokyo Tower, Makuhari Messe, and faraway Mt. Fuji.
Afterward we shall process to Kamakura to visit Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, Wakamiya Street, Komachi Dori and Daibutsu. Before going to Atami for accommodation we shall visit the Odawara Castle - landmark in the city of Odawara in Kanagawa Prefecture. It was the stronghold of various daimyo during the Muromachi period of Japanese history.

Atami - Hakone - Mt. Fuji - Shinjuku

| In the morning we shall drive up to the world-famous, breathtaking Mt. Fuji's 5th Station (subject to weather conditions). Its beauty will take your breath away and leave you in awe of its splendor. Thereafter to Hakone, be mesmerized by its tranquility and scenic views. Proceed to visit Owakudani, a sulphurous erupting area with smoky hot rivers and hot springs. Stay overnight in Shinjuku. |

Shinjuku - Meiji Shrine - Asakusa - Ginza - Narita

Exciting tours filled up the schedule today! In the morning we head to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office, enjoy the beautiful Tokyo city view at the deck on the 45th floor. Afterward visit Meiji Shrine - covered by an evergreen forest of 120,000 trees of 365 different species, which were donated by people from all parts of Japan when the shrine was established. This 700,000 square-meter forest (about 175 acres) is visited by many people both as a spiritual home of the people and as a recreation and relaxation area in the center of Tokyo.
Later we head to Asakusa Kannon Temple, the oldest temple in Tokyo. A variety of traditional and distinctive souvenirs are available. Then we visit the Imperial Palace, the official residence of the Japanese Imperial Family.
In late afternoon we also stop by Ginza and Rinkai Fukutoshin before returning to Narita. |
